Summer at Auburn Montessori, designed especially for preschoolers and working families, fun for all.
As always our approach is Montessori based. Our indoor classrooms are airy, bright, clean, and air conditioned. We have numerous play centers including housekeeping with dolls and accessories; building center with legos, blocks, marble runs; vehicles and roadways, doll houses, animal towns, and playmobile; as well as art; science; and creative design.

We have numerous play centers including housekeeping with dolls and accessories; building center with legos, blocks, marble runs; vehicles and roadways, doll houses, animal towns, and playmobile; as well as art; science; and creative design.
Theme rooms are also popular and include Grocery store, Fire station, Campground, Disco club Ice cream parlor and more. We also mix in cultural rooms such as Africa or Hawaii, which display native clothing, art, foods etc. for the kids to use in play.
Our beautiful outdoor area is wooded, with natural play equipment, rock walls, a barefoot path and a large peace garden for watching birds , butterflies and tending plants. We have kid friendly dogs and goats, as well as our indoor rabbit and fish. Caring for gardens and tending animals is a wonderful way to stay connected with natural rhythms, develop empathy, responsibility and the joy of accomplishment. Add into the mix water play, ball games, and movement classes and you have a great summer!

Our camp is flexible, allowing you to choose either part of full time options within the framework of our themes, which are 1 and 2 week blocks. Gardening, music, art, drama, science and animal habitats are some of our popular units which change annually. We host specialists for each area of study, such as Massabesic Audubon, Wildlife Encounters, EcoArte Ala carte and local singer/songwriters to name a few.
Choose half or full days, three or five days a week, choose some weeks and not others, or come every day! This flexibility allows you to plan your summer activities while still having the care you need. We even have a drop in program which allows you to do just that - drop in for a morning or a day if something comes up and you just need some time.
